As we dissolve

July 29, 2025

With much deliberation and the support of our Trustees, Debbie and I have decided it is time to wind up the business and dissolve The Wendi Atwood Rogers Foundation.  Fortunately, we have accomplished what we initially designed for the Foundation within 7 years, as planned, and are immensely grateful for the support and love we received and shared.  Therefore, we will be formally dissolving as an organization by the end of our calendar year, November 10, 2025.

Since our founding in 2017, we have been honored to fulfill our mission and serve the communities that Wendi served and mostly likely would have served.  We thoroughly enjoyed providing free mentor workshops to adults, career seekers, high school and college students looking for a connection.  Through networking, we were able to raise money and awareness of mentorship.  Last, through support, we were able to donate to other 501(c)(3) organizations with similar missions including mentoring and education.  Some of these organizations include Journey Forward Mentoring, Journey to Dream and Kyle’s Place, Communities in Schools of North Texas, Children’s Advocacy Center, Lovepacs, Tom Bean Middle School, and the Tom Bean Youth Sports Association.

We will fondly remember the time we spent volunteering alongside you, as well as organizations such as Journey to Dream, the Dallas Area Paralegal Association and the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas, to help children and adults who are seeking mentorship and assistance with life.  Many of the people we have reached and helped were underserved, food and housing insecure or simply needed soap.

This decision was not made lightly, but we believe it is the most responsible course of action given leadership transitions and fulfillment of our mission.

We want to express our deepest appreciation for your support over the years. Your generosity has made a lasting difference, and we hope you take pride in all that we’ve accomplished together. Though our organization is closing, the legacy of our work and of Wendi Atwood Rogers as an amazing mentor, will live on.

With sincere gratitude,
